Illustration and Visual Narrative

Exercise 1:

In our first class Mr. Hafiz introduced to us Adobe Illustrator and explained what we will learn through this semester. Also we started our first exercise, where we have to trace 8 shapes and create a character.

1.a. Vormator shapes.

I traced out the shapes and now I can start creating my character.

So this is my character, that i created with shapes below. Also I added a texture on his fur to make it shiny.

Exercise 2: 

In this class we were taught how to draw a shade and add a brightness, put on a texture.

Exercise 3: 

Today we were doing a finishig touches such as adding shadow and putting textures before going  to next step.Next class  we were taught by Mr. Hafiz and Mr. Jeff on how to use the laser cut software and what kind of format we should use for it. We were required to clean any additional lines in out vormator in order to cut out our character.

Any grouped objects should be ungroup and any compound path should be disabled or removed otherwise it wouldn't work on the software for laser cut. I had difficulties with lasercutting my character, because there always was mistake that didn't let my Work to cut out. Finally I fixed everything and...

Exercise 4: 

The last exercise for this project was to draw a background for your character and also create a Pokemon card and put all  characteristics and information of our character.

First idea that came to my mind was snow power or water, but the i realised that his eyes too noticible in snow. Then I thought  about psychical power because of psychedelic colors.
