LECTURES

Lecture 7
11th October 2017 (Week 7)

Mr Vinod explained to us that when designing typefaces, minor details give each typeface its own unique characteristics. For example, even though Helvetica and Univers are both sans-serif typefaces, they exhibit different 'personalities'. These small details are important to note when designing our own typeface in Project 2.

Lecture 8
25th October 2017 (Week 8)

Mr Vinod quickly went through the requirements of Project 2 with us. He cautioned us not to design anything too crazy, because the main purpose of this assignment is to test our understanding on typography basics.

FEEDBACK:
Week 6:Specific Feedbak: Mr. Vinod said to me that we have to use only one typeface or two, but it will be way more difficult to deal with two typefaces. Also it's very important to make them composed nicely, so the narrative will flow smoothly from page to page and the reader will feel te connection.
Week 7:General feedback: In today's class we have learned to animate the sentence and words In Adobe InDesign. So the main rule in choosing animation is to make sure the motion is related to sentence and reflect the word meaning. Also it's not necessary to animate every single word or sentence, you only have to choose where you want to show stress or accent attention.
Specific feedback: When I showed my book design to Mr. Vinod he said that my pages in different styles and it doesn't combines so i have to try follow the style of one chosen page that he said me is looks good. Also the sentences look better when they are on the same row or start from the same coumn , so it gives the flowness and organisation.
Week 8: Specific feedback: Mr. Vinod commented my Babadook animation and said that in some pages it should be faster or the type can be changed so it will look more lit to the current text. Moreover he said that my work have room for improvement and can be developed to more
interesting.

Experience: Week6-We started to us new software "In Design" it was hard at the start to undersats how to create all these margins and colums. Week7-The main difficultiese of these week was about how to make a good flow for viewers to read text in the book. Week 8- Animation was the easiest pat of all assignment
Observation: Week6- Margins and columns make all work more easier.  Week 7- It's more convenient to use margins to make a flow beetween pages. Week 8- Very important to not overadd the animations.
Findings: Week6- It takes some time to make use to new software. Week 7- The flow beetween pages makes the reading more comfotable and enjoyfull. Week 8- Animations looks better when represents the meaning of the words.
