Description :Students are required to produce a less than 3 minutes short film. Voiceover, sounde ffects and music can be used, to tell a compelling story.Stories will be selected from assignment 2; the story creator will be assigned as the director, together with students in the group will work together inproducing and shooting. The group will need to submit a final video, a 20 second teaser, NLE project file ,and the selected footages.All expenses incurred in the production are to be borne by the students themselves.

1st Version
Incubator
It will be
a distant future. Human race would be developed so well that they have
everything prepared for them in advance. When a young baby born there will be
already all information about his preferences, allergies, taste, future
appearance and even air and temperature. Each person from birth will be already
distributed to his own job according to the information about his inclinations
and talents. Each day with menu, fashion, activities would be planned for life
and they wouldn’t have to think about next day. Everyone have their place in
life defined from birth.
One day he
will be doing his usual activity (sculpturing) he goes to the stock to find
instruments, but wouldn’t be able to fins them on the place so he looks around
(it’s just small room, almost empty, with empty shelves). And on the top of
shelve he finds a box(there will be a title “throw away” on it) . He will put
chair and reach it. Inside he founds a photo album of one family.(There will be
photos of outside world with all trees, sea and mountains. And all family
members would be on photo, that’s surprises our main character).
One day our main character would be
passing through transit tunnel to do his planned by system work, when suddenly
women passing by suddenly having hooked on a wire falls on our character and
scratches him. There will be a drip of blood coming from scratch.
He will be thinking about his
feelings after scratching- pain
He never felt it before. It makes
him feel different, kind of alive.
After what
he found out he decides to run away from this place. But he scares to do it
alone. He doesn’t have friends, but he has a
girlfriend intended to him by system. He persuades her to run away by
showing her photos and she agrees.
They planned their run away at
night. By stealing security’s ID they opens doors, but at the end they almost
get caught by guards, but luckily get out of there. They open last door together and founds out that outside world would be
destroyed.

Main
character: Noel and Emma.
Government
rules :
Every citizen that turn 18 have to
live their parent’s home and start working and bring benefit to society.
They do their best to prevent
any types of injury, whether its
physical or psychological.
The system choses perfect couple of
people right after they born based on their information, but it can change by
the time. System chooses people who has big percent of compatibility, so there
is more chances of procreation.
In their gardens they keep only
safe animals near people that doesn’t
contain poison or can’t bite to death.
Some details :
Guards and security are the usual
citizens, but system couldn’t find them a pair (so they are not well trained).
Color theme: White and
minimalistic.

Update
It will be

Noel is
average citizen of Arkopolys. His entire day is planned out. One day he wakes
up usually at 6:00 a.m. , breakfast already prepared and served on the table.
Does everything that was planned on his clocks and goes to his job. He works as carpenter and works with wood. After long day
he comes back home at the same time and dinner will be waiting for him here.
Exactly at 9 p.m. his girlfriend comes in and they spend some time together
cuddle, kiss and e.t.c. They fall a sleep together, but when he wakes up, he is
alone. And everyday is like this.
One day he
wakes up and found a hair on the other
side of bed. He takes it and keeps in
little box. Noel goes to his job and starts cutting wood and all the time
he gets distracted by hair in a box. He
really misses his gf because they can see each other only specific time in a
day and no longer. While watching at hair again he accidentally cuts his finger
on cutting machine. Noel’s finger starts bleeding and he runs to the “emergency
button”. When he presses it white box appears on the table like hologram. First box will be full of albums, he throws
them away, because this is not what he needs and presses button again. And finally first-aid kit appears on
the table. He bandages his finger and takes
a seat to rest and realizes first box that he threw off . He approaches box and search inside. He founds
a lot of old photos of past, there will be photos of trees and lakes, mountains
and big families on vacation. He start to think where all this gone, why he
can’t find here any lakes only fountains. Also don’t allowed to live the town.
Noel founds all these suspicious.
He comes
home there is Emma waiting with heated food. They do everything as usual and go
to sleep. Few hours later Noel wakes up at night when Emma is leaving and grabs
her hand
Noel holds
her hand
-I want to
show you something.
Noel shows
her photos.
But she
seems not impressed
Noel looks
at her eyes for a few minutes, when he finally realizes that she is not
interested at all.
He slowly
puts her hands down.
- Hey Em, did you ever think that
the way we are living is wrong?
- No, Everything is how it’s
supposed to be and perfectly planned.
- Emma, but you never seen other
life maybe this is not how it’s should be, maybe we should have more choice.
- Neither you, Noel, you can’t doubt
the system.
- Don’t you want to take a chance to
discover another life. Run away with me!
- No, are you crazy? Why we have to
live place that is perfect for us.
- Okay, then I’m leaving without
you!
He stand up and wants to leave, but Emma holds
him with strength that you don’t expect from fragile looking woman like her. And
she says “ Stop, you can’t live !”
He repels
her and runs away.
Noel runs
away through hallways, opens few doors.
He passes one
more hallway, and finally he is outside.
He realizes
that town locates on mountain.
Noel opens
last door and founds out that outside
world would be destroyed.
Beginning: Introduction of main character,
showing his usual life. Noel doing his usual routine.
Plot point 1: He
takes her hair and keeps it in the box.
Middle: Cuts
his finger and finds photos and realizes that he doesn’t want to escape
Plot point 2: He
asks Emma to join, but she refuses and tries to stop him.
End: He
escapes and finds out that world is destroyed.
Climax :When
he founds the photos and starts to realize that everything is wrong.

- o Noel looks at her eyes for a few minutes, when he finally realizes that she is not interested at all. {MCU}

- -I need to go.
- o He stand up and wants to leave
- o but Emma holds him with strenght
- -Stop, you can’t live !
- o They stare for a while at each other
- o Noel frees himself and runs away
- o Runs away from room
- o Runs through hallway
- o Opens door again
- o A bit scared and confused he searches for exit
- o Runs through fire stairs
- o And there is final door
- o A bit scared he opens door
- o He looks at world with sadness and disappointment.
